Professor KC Lun is Professorial Fellow (Health Informatics) at the National University of Singapore Dept of Information Systems, School of Computing and Centre for Health Informatics, focusing on healthcare analytics.  He is also concurrently CEO of Gateway Consulting, Singapore.  A medical informatics pioneer in Asia, KC’s accomplishments include IMIA President (2001-4), APAMI Founding President (2004), Director, WHO Collaborating Center for Health Informatics @ NUS (1990-2001), Director, NUS Medical Informatics Program (1996-2001), Excellence for Singapore award (2002) for international achievements in health informatics.  He has undertaken numerous consultancies in biostatistics and health informatics for WHO, IMIA, IDRC and UNDP and was formerly Editor (Asia Pacific) for the International Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI) and editorial board member of the IJMI and Methods of Information in Medicine.  After a rewarding career in academia spanning over 30 years, KC set up Gateway Consulting in October 2006 to offer training courses in health informatics and biostatistics.  Since 2009, Gateway Consulting has been working with the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), USA to bring the international AMIA 10x10 certified medical informatics training course to Asia.
